This is the hilarious moment a crow hassles an Indian street vendor for a taste of ice-cream and gets his way.

Footage of the amusing scene emerged from Pondicherry, India, a former French colony and now a Union Territory town bounded by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state.

The cheeky bird is seen standing on the vendor's cart and it starts cawing and nudging the man with its beak to grab the attention.

The Indian vendor's attempts to ignore the crow fail as he inevitably bursts into laughs at the bird's boldness. 

He finally gives up and decides to give the crow one of his frozen treats. The bird snakes his head as to thank the man for the gift and watches carefully as he opens the tray in search of an ice-cream.

Under the attentive eye of the bird, the vendor picks a strawberry ice-cream and starts feeding the animal with a spoon.

The crow seems to enjoy the refreshing treat on a hot sunny day. 

The shop keeper said the crow comes every day to his cart looking for ice-cream to eat.
